Become A Teen Entrepreneur Mentor
TEOLV students consistently appreciate the individual attention of a mentor. TEOLV shadowing can help businesses show off their company to students who may be future employees. It assists local business owners in expanding career and educational opportunities for students. The program also helps to build employee morale within the company by allowing employees to share their expertise and experience with young people.
The Shadow Program is particularly attractive to businesses because participation does not require exhaustive preparation or long-term commitment. In addition, employers seem to enjoy the shadow experience as much as the students do.
Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to explore the workplace. The business owner and TEOLV student pair with the similarities of the two businesses in mind. Students trail the CEO or president for one half day affording them the opportunity to observe, ask questions and take part in planned hands-on professional activities.
